“Growing up in a small country definitely effected about how I see and observe fashion. When I was a child my parents used to take us abroad every summer for vacation. What stood me the most during those trips were the clothes and the fashion of people who live in other countries. I didn’t understand why they dressed so nicely; I just knew I like it! I would wait for those trips all year, just so I can shop abroad and wear nice clothes.
Import and export was something that only business managers did, and they weren’t interest in fashion, but in what products are selling and what weren’t. in a sea full of white shirts, I was wearing colors. It was my advantage and disadvantage; I use noticeable in the way I dressed, but I also the outsider that like to dress and take pictures. I had to build my character and feel comfortable in what I do so others won’t feel like it’s comfortable to pick on me. Magazines, and fashion channels were big part of the process, and every time I wasn’t sure about something, I knew I need to invite myself and my creativity so others will see it too. In some ways, I was my own leader and example, and that what made me follow my dreams, and accomplish these small successes on the way.
